Basic Groom
As the director of the Human Resources department at Texas Women’s University, Jessica was at the height of her career. She loved her job, the academic institution she worked for and her staff. But few things were more satisfying than being met by her dog Buster and cat Sugar at the end of a challenging work day. Monday through Sunday, she looked forward to their walks and quality time together. Jessica kept Buster and Sugar well groomed. Jessica suffered from acute asthma. Keeping her pets well kempt helped mitigate asthma attacks. There was less pet dander in the air to trigger symptoms.
Why Grooming is Important Buster’s hair was long and tightly coiled. These traits are what distinguishes Puli’s from other breeds. He was black and adorable, but his hair could be a nuisance if not groomed regularly. If Jessica failed to bring Buster in for his monthly session, he was at risk of reduced mobilization. He would experience difficulty walking and running because his hair matted into dred locs. Sugar was great at cleaning herself but that didn’t mean that she shouldn’t be checked for blood sucking fleas and ticks. Grooming is vital because it helps detect these issues before they become a problem. Breed Specific Cuts We wouldn’t give a Maine Coon the same cut as we’d give a Siamese cat. That would be preposterous and Sugar definitely would not stand for it. Our groomers would never give Buster the same cut as we’d give a poodle. At Pet Groomers Denton, we specialize in breed specific cuts. We guarantee that your pets will leave our grooming table looking and feeling regal. Tails and heads pointed to the sky. Buster and Sugar love coming for their weekly grooming sessions. Jessica enjoys it too. She runs errands while they're in our hands and receives several compliments from other pet owners when she takes them to North Lakes Dog Park. Cat Grooming She may be outnumbered, but she’s never alone. There are more dog owners that bring their pets to be groomed, however, Sugar is always greeted by at least one other cat and our friendly groomers. Plus Buster, her protector is never far behind. It is a myth that cats don’t like to be groomed. Each of our cat clients are relaxed and pleased throughout the entire process. Cats are a bit narcissistic, they love all the attention they receive from head to tail. We begin by getting acquainted. After inspection, we begin the gentle shampoo process. Brushing and trimming follows after the cat is air dried. Dog Grooming For a little guy, Buster has loads of friends. All of his pals respected him and looked forward to sniffs and getting reacquainted. We offer the same grooming services for dogs and cats. After a shampoo, conditioning treatment, drying and trimming, each dog has their nails cut. Our team is careful to avoid the quick. We want each of our doggy clients to be relaxed and associate grooming with a positive activity. Clients like Buster, have their ears checked for mites during every visit. We’ll let you know if we notice any abnormalities. If we find mites, they are treated right away. Last but not least, effective dental care is executed before they leave the table. |
